Jamey Camp, Treasurer of the Board, is an accountant with Causey Demgen & Moore Inc., a local CPA firm in downtown Denver, Colorado. In her years as an accountant, she has obtained several years experience completing audit and tax engagements for numerous non-profit organizations. Jamey is working on a Masters degree in business with a concentration in Non-Profit Management and has a passion for volunteering and making a difference in the lives of others. Past volunteer experiences have included work with an Ohio-based youth shelter called Safe Landing which provides temporary shelter, counseling and assistance to troubled youth.
Jaleh Gerdemann has worked closely with various non-profit organizations and community outreach programs for several years. She served on the Board of Directors for Rebuilding Together Omaha where she led home rehabilitation projects for the elderly and disabled. In addition, Jaleh spent four years working with Best Buddies of America to help promote opportunities for one-on-one friendships for people with developmental disabilities. Jaleh holds a Masters in Business Administration from Creighton University and is working toward completing her CPA certification this summer. She is currently the plant accountant for Amcor Rigid Plastics in Denver.
Sharon Glocker, Secretary of the board, has worked for many years with adults and adolescents with and without disabilities. In May she will have completed a masters in social work and is well networked within the Colorado Springs community due to her work and previous business associations. She is currently the transitions coordinator at the Academy School District in Colorado Springs where she she assists 18-21 year olds transition from academic to adult world. She has also worked as a case manager in MA for adults with developmental disabilities and has years of experience volunteering for a variety of organizations.
Charlie Hunt is a seasoned industry executive with extensive experience and understanding of investment management and accounting application design, development and implementation. For the past two years Charlie has worked as a Senior Consultant for Bonaire Software Solutions at Wachovia Bank. Charlie was President and Chief Executive Officer of Computer Aided Decisions, Inc., (CAD) a firm he co-founded in 1982. He also was an officer for 5 years on the board of directors for NWW, a non-profit service and housing provider for adults with developmental disabilities and was Chair of their investment committee. He also has a son with down syndrome.
Perry Jowsey, President of the board, has more than 10 years of communication and business development expertise, where he has cumulatively raised millions of dollars to increase organizational capacity and benefit community initiatives. He has applied an innovative and energetic focus on systems and salesmanship in crafting a career as a turnaround specialist – yielding unprecedented revenue results in every professional position he has held, with attention to start-up and financially distressed budgets ranging from $50K-$120M. His expertise has been conferred through such demonstrations as appointment to multiple Boards of Directors, consultation with foreign government delegations, Adjunct Assistant Professor stints at 4 colleges, and having led countless trainings on fundraising, communication, and adult learning methodologies with exceptional acclaim. Perry is a vigorous campaigner for promoting a better community.
Susan Larson is a parent of a son with developmental disabilities and works as the insurance coordinator and on the computer system at Adam’s Camp which offers typical camps and intensive therapy programs for children and young adults with special needs. She volunteers with Glory Community, an organization that is working to build housing for adults with disabilities and at The Wildlife Experience, a museum located in the Denver area.
